Seal Rocks

The best of the bush and the beach. Dog friendly accommodation just minutes from Seal Rocks beaches and Myall Lakes National Park.

Pristine beaches and nature walks await you at Seal Rocks

Wandha is just 10 minutes from the idyllic seaside village of Seal Rocks. Surrounded by Myall Lakes National Park, Seal Rocks attracts visitors year round for its unspoilt surfing beaches, snorkelling, diving and fishing. The beaches are pristine with sparkling blue/green water and relatively uncrowded.

As Wandha is dog friendly accommodation, bring your furry companions along, and let them revel in the freedom of exploring the sandy shores and frolicking in the gentle waves.

The first two beaches you come to, Number One and Boat Beach are the most family friendly beaches. If you prefer a bit more off the beaten track then check out Lighthouse, Treachery and Yagon.

Best things to do at Seal Rocks

Here are some of our favourite activities to do around Seal Rocks

Boat Beach is our favourite. Named simply, because it’s the beach where the fishermen boats are launched from. Its quite sheltered which means the waves are usually quite gentle and perfect for swimming with young kids. There are also rocks to explore. The vibrant sea life in the area make this beach a favourite for snorkelling.

Number One Beach is across the road from Reflections Holiday Park so we find its generally busier, yet just as beautiful as Boat Beach.

At low tide, explore the rock platform that makes this beach so recognisable.

The historic Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse can be reached by an easy 20-minute scenic walk through Myall Lakes National Park. Built in 1874 to warn ships away from the treacherous rock formation, Seal Rocks. At the front of the lighthouse is a grassy knoll picnic area which is a great vantage point to spot whales, dolpins and grey nurse sharks.

Not quite Seal Rocks but on the way is Neranie picnic and camping ground. Its an amazing swimming spot on Myall Lakes. Its only about 6-8 minute drive from Wandha.

Grab a baguette or toastie from Single Fin coffee and take it across the road to the headland overlooking Boat Beach. You can also purchase food and supplies from the General Store there too.
