Explore Our Habitat Garden
Our habitat gardens and open woodland covers about 10 acres of the total 25 acre property so there is lots of space to explore. Its an endless work in progress but we aim to showcase plants that are indigenous to the local area and enhance the biodiversity of the area.
The vibrant habitat gardens give guests the chance to observe and appreciate native feathered, scaled and furred friends in their natural setting.
Areas To Explore
Firepit
Guests can enjoy a fire around our beautiful welcome to use the fire pit in the cooler months when fire bans are not in force. Firewood is provided but collecting it from around the grounds is also part of the fun!
Wilderness
Our bushland beyond the dam can be enjoyed from near and far. For those wanting to explore, we have marked out a path (look for the pink markings on trees) that winds through our wetland and onto our dry eucalypt forest.
Harvest Garden
Herbs and vegetables are grown for guests in the Harvest Garden. Depending on the season we grow cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, zucchini, strawberries aloe vera and most common herbs.
Nature Play
We love getting kids outdoors enjoying some nature play. For a bit of encouragement we have a large swing set, a fairy garden (in the Harvest Garden) and an undercover mud kitchen (cafe) in one of our outdoor undercover areas.
Orchard
Not your typical orchard, we have established fruit trees scattered throughout the gardens. Depending on the season, you might find pears, apricots, plums, apples, nectarines and macadamias.
Citrus Grove
Over near the chook pen, you’ll find a grove of citrus trees. We encourage guests to enjoy the seasonal offerings including limes, lemons, mandarins, lemonade, ruby grapefruit and oranges.
